From March through to June this year I’ll be working with arts organisation Arthur + Martha as a ‘guest artist’ on a project called Panorama.
A couple of weeks ago I started working with people who have lived experience of homelessness. I’ll help them co-create songs, words and music. I’ll do that alongside arthur+martha’s artist Lois Blackburn and our partners, The Booth Centre and The People’s History Museum. We will combine visual art, songwriting and performance to create scrolling artworks called Moving Panoramas.
We’re going to debut the work at The People’s History Museum on June 11th as part of Manchester Histories festival.
Here’s a blog I wrote about an initial trip to the museum.
